Please bring with you: Loupes 2,5 D or similar magnification, thin Colibri forceps/thin Bishop-Harmon micro tissue forceps or similar and fine Needle holder suitable for 7/0 suture material and thin conjunctival scissors.

 

Workshop on UPDATED CORNEAL SURGERY 

Tips and tricks, advantages and disadvantages of conjunctival grafts and corneoscleral transposition, interest of use of bandage lenses, of different biomaterials

Attendees will:

  • learn and practise how to manipulate with the biomaterials, how to work on cornea and/or to improve repair technique under the supervision of course masters
  • have hands on experience to repair corneal defect with corneal lenses, conjunctival grafts, corneoconjunctival transposition, biomaterials (e.g. porcine small intestinal submucosa, bovine pericardium, porcine urinary bladder marix, amniotic membrane)
  • learn how to use surgical bandages and glues·
